First Group - 2002 To 2004

The first group of students started with us in 2002 in Bangalore, south India, and finished in 2004. They did an English course in preparation for Cambridge University exams, a CISCO Networking Computing course, Graphic Design, and the Indian National Open School 10th grade exams. Most of the students returned to Tibet following their time at the school.

When I was very small I had a dream of becoming a tour guide. To fulfill this dream I came to India and studied in Tibetan Transit School till I graduated from there. Graduating from TTS was a very exciting moment in my life in India. After leaving the school, I tried so many times to use what I had learned. But I realized what I had learned was not enough and I had to study more.

To you (EST)

I'd already heard about you and I didn't expect to become a member of your family. Now I am nearly graduated from this marvelous home and I can't quite believe that in fact I am one of the family members.

I was told by one of my friends about you and I was also told that you will give me the opportunity to fulfill my dream. So I had a go and attended the entrance exam. It was one of the

happiest days of my life when I heard that I had been accepted as one of the many family members.

Time flies, now I can speak good English as was my dream, but now I have to leave. Though I know I have to and that there is a reason for every parting and gathering. But, I still feel like we are not done yet. Maybe I should tell you my gratitude towards you.

Thank you EST and all our dear supporters for everything you have done to help us, without your help I wouldn't be able to speak good English and many others would have lost their dream. Thank you!!!
