My Introduction

Life is different to all human beings and each one of us has a different story and different lives in this short moment which is like a fairy tale. My name is Tsering Dolma. I was born in a common family in Lhasa, the capital city of Tibet, which is the most beautiful city in my eyes. I was a very naughty girl when I was a child.

I liked to go with my playmates near the river to catch many small fish so my shoes and trousers were wet. When I got back from fishing my mother came to me with a stick in her hand and beat me furiously because my clothes were very dirty. I was crying and trying to escape from her fierce stick. When I was seven years old, my parents sent me to school until the eighth grade. I couldn't complete middle school because we couldn't pay school fees as they're very high. The beauty of my life was showing off in my small and warm home but who could predict that tomorrow again would have a home for me. To leave for India might be my destiny as I was eager to achieve my ambition.

One late night I told my mother that I had decided to go to India though it's not easy to cross the border of Nepal and Tibet. At the border there were so many Chinese armies guarding and if they arrest us then there is no way except to imprison. Paying money for to guide, the secret way on the border, I followed the guide. The dark, heavy, and painful burden was on

my shoulder when my journey was at the border. After my arriving in India, I got the precious opportunity to see His Holiness the Dalai Lama. The big tears of joy rolled down my face when His Holiness was blessing us the new arrivals. It was my first time to see His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Under his gratefulness I was sent to T.C.V Suja School. At the Suja there are almost two thousand students who left their home for India because of political issues and for the purpose of receiving an education. As in Tibet the school fees are very high. The students at Suja School really study hard in the day and night without caring for their physical condition. As a result many students get ill but they are excellent in their studies. I had been at Suja School almost two years within that period I had changed my behaviour a lot.

Under the helpfulness of Suja School I got a chance to learn the basic of cooking at Dhradun for six months. I completed my basic cooking from Dhradun and it was the time to choose the way for me whether to mingle in society or to carry on with my study. To mingle in competitive society is the unwanted way for me. What I want is to keep on my studies though to get opportunity to have a school is very difficult. As I mentioned that what's going to happen tomorrow is very difficult to predict. Suddenly such a good day came up for me and I was kindly given a golden opportunity to join in

Educational Support Tibet. All the living beings on this mother earth have their own ambition and for me, to be voluntarily teacher for blind children is what I am aiming now.

Thanking you
