My Introduction

My name is Ngawang Choekyi. I am 23 years old. My birthday is on 15th August. My hobbies are cooking, doing exercises in the morning, reading different books, playing badminton and listening to music. I come from Kham in Tibet. My parents are farmers. I have eight family members; there are two sets of twin brothers, one sister, my parents and me. I am the youngest child in my family. Since I was very young my sister and her husband brought me up. They considered me their real child. They sent me to a Chinese school. My real parents also did their best and supported me in whatever I wanted to do. So I have two lovely and marvellous homes. I went to school for more than eight years in Tibet. My sister was living in a small city. I came to my real parents' home during the winter and summer holiday. My parents lived in the countryside. During the summer the whole place changed in to a green and colourful landscape. It became very beautiful and attractive in the countryside. We could enjoy spectacular views. We also had many special parties in summer.

After class nine I stopped my school, because I got a quite serious disease. So I stayed in my home almost six months for treatment of my disease. After recovered my disease I came to Lhasa. My two brothers were living in Lhasa at that time. They took me to many holy places. In Lhasa I did

a hotel waitress and management course for almost one year, but unfortunately, I found that it was not a very interesting job for a person like me. I mean during that time I was so young, I didn't have enough education and courage. Of course, such a job was not my cup of tea according to my situation at that time.

I came to India in 2005, then I joined T.C.V school "Tibetan Children's Village School", there I studied for more than four years. I studied many subjects, like Tibetan, English, Mathematics, Science, Social Science and Hindi. I studied there until class eight. I couldn't continue my studies because I got very seriously sick, and most of my four years' time was spent in hospital. Though all my teachers and staff members were caring for me very well when I was sick, for many reasons I didn't recover my health the same as before. So it was very hard for me to continue my studies like a normal person with my thirsty-for-education class-mates. Especially, we had many subjects we needed to learn. Therefore, I quit my school on the 10th May in 2010. I decided to go back to Tibet. I went to Nepal and tried to go back. Unluckily I didn't get a Chinese passport. I tried another method, and still I failed. In July I came back to India again and I wanted to join a school if I could. I learned computers for one month at Mcleogenj. After that I got a chance to take an exam for Kunphen Cultural School

On 10th June 2010, I became a student at Kunphen Cultural School. I like this school very much. Now I am studying English and Computer Science. To be honest I am not sure what I am going to do after I graduate from this school, but I am hoping to be a teacher or a social worker in any place.

Thanking you
