My Introduction

My name is Sonamtso and I am 27 years old. I was born on 12th, December, 1983 in the east of Tibet and west of China, in a place called Songpan. There is JiuHuang airport and some well-known places: Jiuzhaigou International Park and HuangLong.

I am a stubborn, short-temper and talkative Tibetan girl. I like to help people whom needed help. l love making friends over the world. My hobbies are dance, basketball, volleyball, chating, play computer games and hike. In my free time sometimes I enjoy being a coach potato.

I have got a huge family with eight siblings, four girls, four boys and my parents. But only four of us were educated because of unstable income. I was the one or the lucky ones. One of my sister who lives in Santa Cruze, in the U.S.A, two younger brothers live in Darmshala, India for study Englis. And rest of siblings live in Tibet.

From August 1991 to July 1997, I went to at primary school near my village for six golden years and every Children's day I got a “three good students" certificates of merit; It was not a great achievement, because we only had one class with just 37 students. I was good at math, sports and physical activities.

From August 1997 to July 2000, I spent three year in SongPan Middle School.

From August 2001 to July 2003, I went to high school same as middle school-SongPan Middle School.

In September, 2003, I passed the examination for Luzhou Vocational and Technical University in Sichuan province and studied for a BSC. I was also an excellent Tibet traditional dancer and model whilst at university.

From September 2006 to May 2007,I worked in Guangtai factory as an inspector in ShenZheng, Guangzhou province, China, inspecting machinery and manufactured parts for quality. It was a well paid but stressful job.

From August 2007 to August 2008, I worked at a luxury Hotel in ChengDou, Sichuan province, China as a receptionist, assisted client in finding rooms. I inputted confidential customer information onto the hotel database, provided local information to guide guests in their sight-seeing, and met more and more foreigners. But I did not speak a word of English soon realized how important English was. So I decided to learn English.

To do that, I went to Nepal in August 2008, and stared learning. I was there for four months then I moved to India, to Dharamsala as a

refugee. A refugee life is not so easy for everyone but I was forced to learn the most important lesson in life, and that is the fact that you have to live up to your responsibilities. But I found out that Dharmsala is a small place but it is a very big world and the best place for education for Tibetan people. It is a place where you can learn about many different cultures and languages.

In March of 2010 to March of 2011, I spent part of my time teaching Chinese at LAH Charitable Trust as a volunteer. Since I left my job I studied at the Tibet Charity until I entered EST school in September.

Thanking you
