My Introduction

My name is Sonam Tso. I was born in 1991 in a small village called Ganja near Amdo Labrang in the eastern part of Tibet. Ganja, my village has wonderful grassland and also many different flowers are there. If walking there your legs will be colored by colorful flowers, so many people want to have a trip to my hometown. All my family is living in Tibet. They are nomadic. I have four brothers and two sisters and I am the youngest in my family. My favorite subjects are English and Tibetan. My hobbies are listening to music, reading interesting books and also talking with friends. My ambitions are to service my parents and share my knowledge with my brothers and sisters Tibetans in Tibet, who have got an opportunity to go to the schools.

When I was child. I liked to go to school very much but I hadn't had karma of education. It was very sad thing in my life. I couldn't go to school. When my brother was going to school, I asked my parents I asked my parents send to the school with my brother and also I cried but my parents said to me that they couldn't pay school fees because our family is not very rich and the school fees was very high. It is not that they didn't love me but they didn't know how important education was and they didn't have the money to got me educated like my brother. I worked very hard with my parents and then I went to Machu to my brother's hotel. Then I worked in the hotel and I was very happy but I had no education so sometimes I felt very sad.

One year later working there I met a good friend, he asked me "would you like to go to school and if you like it, you can go to India. You can go to school and also our peace leader H.H. the Dalai Lama is there too". That conversation was very interesting to my ears, so on the first of July, 2007 I departed my home and dear parents, all the siblings and friends. My tears fell and I was very sad. But the karma called me, and I went to Lhasa on my own. I was very worried because I hadn't had any experiences. I lived there for two months.

Then I found a guide and also with other people, I gave him three thousand yen. We were walking for nineteen days to Nepal. We were welcomed by our Tibet people at the Tibetan Reception Center in Nepal for the new comers from Tibet. Then after 8 days we were sent to India to meet H.H. the Dalai Lama. Then we went to Suja School and I was very happy there. I studied for two years at Suja .The subjects were Math, English and Tibetan. My first school is Suja school. Two years later I went to T.C. V. Pathlikul School with some other students. There I studied painting and tailoring for only one year, but I didn't like tailoring. I asked my brothers and my friends about this school and I sat the examination for E. S. T. and I was accepted to the school. I was very happy and I think it's my last opportunity in

my life, so I don't want to waste my golden opportunity. Therefore, I have been studying very hard and appreciating the study facilities we are provided in this lovely school.

Thanking you
