My Introduction
My name is Tsering Dolma and my parents call me Tsedon. My hobbies or interests are listening to music and reading books, which make me happy and forget unhappy things which happened in the past. So it is also a way to kill time whenever I face some difficulties. I was born in 1988 in a small village in the Eastern part of Tibet, Xinhua, which is a Muslim Autonomy Region. It is a very special and famous place because of the many great people who were born there, such as the 10th Penchen Lama and Dowei Geshe.
There are seven members in my family, my grandparents, my parents, my younger brother, sister and me. My family is semi farmer. My parents were very hard-working and they were always busy in the field which I still vividly remember. Since we were farmers and my parents were as busy as bees to work in the field, I had to look after lambs, and looked after my siblings as I was the oldest child in my family. My younger brother and I went to the same primary school. I liked him more than my sister because we always went to school together and that way we became so close to one another. After I finished class five, I joined a new school that was bigger than the first one. All the students and teachers in that school were Tibetans. In the mornings I went to the school and in the afternoons I came back. Actually the school was not close to my home. It took forty minutes from my home to the school. Some of the students had to stay at the school at the time since their homes were very far away from the school. I studied in that school for two years.
After two years in that school, I went to another school that was the only Tibetan secondary school in my county. That school was constructed by the 10th Panchen Lama. In the school, we had class five to class twelve and almost eight hundred students. The main subjects in that school were Tibetan, Chinese. There were seventy teachers and most of the teachers were Tibetans, only a few were Chinese. The teachers were kind to their students and they were also very strict. All the students had to stay in the school because it was a boarding school. So we could go to our own homes once a month and it was five or six day's long holiday. I was always eager to have my holiday. When I was in my second year at that school, I heard lots of things about India from my friends , such as there were lots of schools and no need to pay school fees. After I heard that, I had a strong desire to come to India. I requested my parents many times. At last I was allowed to come and they helped me to get a passport for me. I think I was the luckiest one among my friends because I got a passport to set off my journey to India in 2005. I took my long journey to India with my grandparents.
In the summer of the year 2006, I left everything behind in the Himalayas: my innocent sheep, beautiful grasslands, the quiet village, and all the people I knew. Above all, I left my dear siblings and beloved parents with huge reluctance in order to shake my thirst and fulfill my dreams. Even though
it was the most dangerous journey I had ever taken in my entire life, I would luckily get to the gate of The Tibetan Reception Center in Nepal without getting hurt in any part of my body.
In August 2011 I set on the entry exam of E.S-Tibet, fortunately I passed the exam and currently I'm studying in E.S-Tibet with a great satisfaction because we have been provide very good facilities of study, and this school is the most lovely school I have ever been to. Moreover its specialty makes me feel so proud to be a student of this school.
Thanking you
